About Ascot House Hotel
Built in 1840, Ascot House Hotel was originally an early Victorian Villa and family home. In the early 1900s, it became a private day school and remained so until the 1950s, when it became a 12 bedroom B & B, then hotel. Throughout the renovations we’ve undertaken over the years, we’ve aimed to preserve and restore the original beauty and charm of the building’s heritage – the flagstone floor in the Dining Room being a perfect example. While not exact to the original lay-out, we have converted the accommodation into just 5 Suites in order to provide a wonderful impression of the living quarters of that time. They are all are decorated to a very high standard, having a modern French flair about them. Ascot House Hotel is made up of four floors, connected by one continual stairwell, with the Dining Room being on the lower ground floor and the Sea View Suite comprising the entirety of the top floor.
Fast wifi access is freely available throughout out the hotel.
There is one car space for each Suite with additional free street parking just around the corner.
While our standard check-in time is from 14:00 with check-out being by 12:00 noon, we are extremely flexible with these times, when possible, and do not charge extra for the options. We are also happy for you to leave your car past the check-out time as and when other arrival times allow for this. To this end and to enable us to best organise our day, we do ask that guests please confirm an approximate arrival time.
Our Suites have proper desks in their lounge – so coupled with the free wifi access and a kettle at arm’s length, working away couldn’t be more comfortable. An early breakfast is also available as required at no extra cost.
The uniqueness of our Suites makes them a perfect choice for celebrating that something special, with our Luxury and Sea View Suites being the most popular for such occasions. If you’d like to add a little something to the package in the way of chocolates, a bottle of wine or flowers, please ring us to discuss these possibilities.
As each Suite has its own private lounge and refrigerator, there is no communal lounge or bar at Ascot House Hotel. There is plenty of space for your own drinks and snacks and wine glasses and tumblers are supplied in your Suite.
Please note that having been built in 1840 for a family, Ascot House Hotel does not have a lift. Should you have any concerns at all regarding accessibility, please ring us to discuss your requirement directly.
